Positive Customer Reviews
“It works good in my automatic litter box, but have to keep within the time frame of odor protection” – by Patrice, reviewing Paws & Claws 4-in-1 Action Fresh Floral Scented Clumping Clay Cat Litter, June 2025
“Good litter for multiple cats and inexpensive.” – by Yvette, reviewing Paws & Claws 4-in-1 Action Fresh Floral Scented Clumping Clay Cat Litter, August 2025
Negative Customer Reviews
“This is by far the WORST litter I have ever used. My normal litter was not in stock, so I decided that I would go and buy the more expensive and cleaner litter and NEVER AGAIN. If you like a dust storm, get this litter because you will get this every time you clean or change the litter. If you like the smell of cat ammonia when walking in your house, get this litter, it pungent. And last, if you like to have your little pee balls fall apart, when cleaning, getvthis litter, it will fulfill all your dreams. Since I prefer a no odor, no dust and tight pee ball when cleaning ,this litter is not for me.” – by Appi, reviewing Paws & Claws Fresh-N-Free Unscented Clumping Cat Litter, July 2025
“I like the way it clumps but the dust is unbearable I bought a big bag and when I put it in the litter box I couldn’t see what I was doing there was so much dust and I started choking I won’t be buying this brand anymore” – by Peggy, reviewing Paws & Claws Fresh-N-Free Unscented Clumping Cat Litter, June 2025

Overall, Is Paws & Claws Cat Litter A Good Choice?
Paws & Claws is a highly affordable brand of cat litter, but their products are also good. All three of the formulas we reviewed formed hard, tight clumps and offered decent odor control, even in a multi-cat household.
Paws & Claws brand does have scented formulas that are tolerable, but some customers found that the scent unpleasant and it didn’t last long. If you or your cat is sensitive to fragrances, you may want the unscented formula.
Where Is Paws & Claws Cat Litter Sold?
Paws & Claws Cat Litter is sold in store and online from Tractor Supply.

Unscented Paws and Claws litter is not unscented. I know that the US govn’t says that at .01 added scent can be called scent free, IT IS NOT. THE UNFORTUNATE FUE WITH MCS, would greatly appreciate you being honest on your label. If you make it on the same machines as the scented product, be kind and put that on the lable. Head aches, nausia and rashes occour just walking past, but since I believed that I baught unscented I didn’t know what my problem was until I was in the room where the litter was changed. Going back to chew for unscented cat litter.
I got the Paws n Claws liter . Says low dust. Well to be honest, it’s more dusty than any I have used. Pretty sad to cause not only do I have inhale the dust, so would my cat when she covers her doings. I have COPD and man , I will never buy this again or refer any liter from that company to anyone .
My new everyday litter for my 10 feral cats I rescued and domesticated . No huge dust bombs when applying, at least for me .
Is this brand cruelty free??
Good question! I’ve not seen any indication one way or the other. The company that makes this product as well as other pet products, doesn’t say anything about their policies on this.
Totally disagree about clump & scoo.p. it’s retains smell of urine very strongly. And does not absorb well or clump well. So.if you sift ( as I do) the urine soaked litter just passes through. Could not possibly recommend and have to wonder how you possibly could. Hard to believe that you are unbiased
We were not paid, nor did we receive free products for this review. Sometimes different people and cats have vastly differing experiences with a single product, and we’ve also seen products change in quality over time. I really appreciate you sharing your experience to help us and other readers understand how this product works.
