#1 Litterbox.com All-Natural Clumping Cat Formula

Amy Brown-Towry / Cats.com

This Litterbox.com All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter is made with only one ingredient, sun-dried sodium bentonite clay. This means no additives, no perfumes, and little to no dust normally associated with your cat’s litter box. This Premium Cat Litter is a naturally unscented with a soft texture which is better for your cats paws.

The sodium bentonite clay, which is known for its ability to absorb liquids, forms hard, tight clumps fast and locks in odor by drawing up moisture and isolating ammonia smells. Because it does clump, it doesn’t create a lot of dust but it does tend to track.

A 20-pound bag of litter per cat will last one month. However, how long a bag of litter lasts will depend on how many cats you have, their size and waste habits, as well as the kind of litter box you own.

Though we have only given this Cat Litter a 4.2/5 rating, it is important to remember that this rating system is largely based on features found in competitors’ litter products. This is a clay clumping litter, meaning there is a lot of competition on the market today. Where this product shines is in the fact that it is subscription-based, all-natural, dust free, and its firm clumping ability.

Positive Reviews

“We love this litter! We’ve been litter robot owners for almost 4 years now. We could never seem to find the right litter to use. Of course every litter brand has its pros and cons but GreatLitter gets them all right. Low dust, low tracking, clumps qu ickly, and great odor control. The price is fairly reasonably as well. We’ve tried cheap litter and we’ve tried expensive litter but overall GreatLitter works the best for our Litter Robots.” – by Matt K., on Litter-Robot.com, September 15, 2025

“We have had pretty good luck with the litter clumping and being easy to clean up. The packaging however is fairly frustrating. I have received a few bags without the hole cut for the pull tab and access to the bag. I had to cut a hole instead of pull ing to open. This bag is also really difficult to pour into the litterbox or another container. Lining up the hole to pour out can often pour litter into the top of the bag making a mess when tilting it back after pouring. I would really like to see a redesigned bag and an amount that fills a more standard sized container.” – by tdubc, on Litter-Robot.com, September 12, 2025

Negative Reviews

“I have two little kittens that had no issues with tracking and potential poop paws but after adding this litter to my litter robot 5 I have all kinds of issues. It gets stuck in the globe, it tracks everywhere, and it honestly doesn’t even work well with the robot itself. Dissapointed. Don’t waste you money on this. There are better and cheaper options available.” – by Kit, on Litter-Robot.com, August 28, 2025

“We’ve had such a bad experience with this cat litter when we got a few bags with our Robot 4! It doesn’t really clump but becomes a paste that sticks to the surface of the robot globe and requires cleaning a lot!” – by Allen1083, August 5, 2025

Overall, Is Litter Robot All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter A Good Choice?

If you’re making a direct comparison between this All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter and competitors’ clay litters, you may be underwhelmed. This litter does the job well but the cost is much higher than store-bought clay litter brands. It also tends to track which is expected with any clay litter.

Though Litter Robot All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter is another clay litter, it has its own set of benefits. While it is natural it also has no chemicals or perfumes. However, this is not biodegradable litter.

Because this cat litter contains no fragrances, chemicals, or other additives it does limit its ability to control odor, especially in multi-cat households. We did find this to be a problem after about a week of using the litter with our two cats. Regular scooping does help control the odor but there was definitely a slight urine smell.

Where Is LitterBox All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter Sold?

LitterBox All-Natural Clumping Cat Litter is only sold online through the company’s website with subscription options.
