Several weeks ago a beautiful black kitten appeared at my partner’s house. As he lives in the country, no close neighbors, and the kitten being extremely friendly, we assumed she’d been abandoned, as this has how he’s been ‘gifted’ others from the CDS. It was late but we bought a large ‘pen’, with food, water, litter box, to protect her from any other predators. We covered it ( it was still warm out) and took her to a veterinarian the next morning, needing to get her vetted before bringing her inside, as he already had two indoor cats. We were very surprised, to say the least, finding she wasn’t a ‘young kitty’, as we thought, but about seven months old. After lab work was performed, she was pretty ‘o.k’, no diseases, BUT in renal failure- with the indicators off the chart. Either born with abnormal kidneys or maybe poisoned, either way it didn’t look good. We were asked about treatment-euthanasia, suggested, as outcome being so probably poor. We both shook our heads “no”. We left her there for the first week, visited daily, spent time with her as she received IV fluids, etc., to try to save her. She’s been home for about a month, revisiting the veterinarian every week for fluids given subcutaneously, on prescription medications daily (and one nightly) and lab work now once monthly. Last lab work showed some improvements but not close to normal, which might never be normal. She can’t have “normal” kitten food, which is high in protein. We try to give this beautiful girl, as much quality life as possible. Did we do the ‘right thing’? Short of a kidney transplant, which we’ve been told isn’t very successful in felines, not to mention pretty pricey, (and putting her through the pain and stress of surgery), we’re trying to give her more time. She doesn’t play, like a kitten her age, and many times doesn’t look ( or act) like she feels well. She’s kept apart from the two adult cats but has a companion, a sweet tortie younger kitten ( which is also a rescue). They’re in a room, when together, with toys, large windows, and, recently, a sizable cat tree, (which was a PAIN to put together, to mention!) They have to be fed separately, as the younger girl is on a normal kitten diet. All are neutered, of course, but not our sick one, as she’s not deemed healthy enough to have her regular vaccines. Anyway, that’s our ‘story’. And has anyone ( reading this) had experience with a similar situation, and any helpful hints, (other than euthanasia)?
I am so sorry so many have been deceived into believing these God created animals are anything “spiritual” or bring or give “luck”. These are beliefs brought to humans by demons and go against God’s creations. Just as all other animals, these beautiful cats are a gift from Him as He created them not only for His pleasure, but also ours! It’s a crying shame the stigmas brought against them because of false ideologies.
I’ve never been a cat person, but they always come to me and show me what they have caught. I’m 72 years old and have end stage COPD and very spirtual with God gifts. Recently a solid black cat come to my place and would not leave and wants to be with me always and when she looks at you it is like she is looking in your Soul. At that time I needed something to share my love with and I think she was sent to me as a Spirtguide.
That’s a beautiful story, Ricky. Thanks for sharing!
i had a nightmare, it was like something was draining my energy and it was feeding on my fear, a bear appeared in my dream and was attacking me, or trying to but then a bunch of black cats appeared causing the bear to run off. i felt safe when i looked at the cats i really don’t know what this means or why but i noticed i have a connection to black cats. could it be my spirit guide takes form as a black cat? in a way of protection? because at first my dream was a bad nightmare, but when the black cat showed up i felt safe instead of unsafe i heard black cats serve in a way of protection from our spirit guides.. im just not too sure.
I think the interpretation is up to you, Kiara. Clearly, you feel protected and safe with black cats, so perhaps their presence and symbolism speak to you. You can interpret that and use it as you will.
