Because it is all-natural, it is a hypoallergenic formula and the fact that it is made only from coconut makes it super lightweight. This litter absorbs up to 560% of its weight in liquid, with each 5-pound bag absorbing the same amount of liquid as a 20-pound bag of clay litter.
Because it doesn’t clump, it doesn’t contain odors as well as some litters and the lightweight material does tend to track. If you scoop it daily, however, one bag can last up to a month and you can dispose of it easily by dumping it in your yard, garden, or compost bin as a soil additive.
Though we’ve only given this CatSpot 100% Coconut Organic Cat Litter a 2.75/5 rating, it is important to remember that this rating system is largely based on features found in more traditional cat litter products.
