Thanks to the brand’s innovative Noble Ion Technology, the all-natural wheat materials are infused with a liquid containing billions of positive ions that neutralize the negative ions found in litter box odor. Odor is eliminated quickly and naturally without the use of artificial fragrances that do little more than mask the smell.

As a multi-cat formula, this cat litter is designed to clump quickly and firmly to lock away urine odor on contact. The natural wheat ingredients neutralize odors for long-lasting protection, even in multiple cat homes.

If you visit the sWheat Scoop website and check their product comparison chart, you’ll see that the fast-clumping recipe is the new original formula. It has been improved with added odor control and fast-clumping power, but it is the lowest of the three levels, with Premium+ being the highest.

This sWheat Scoop Natural Fast-Clumping Wheat Cat Litter is designed for single cat households and, like the other two recipes, is made entirely from natural materials with no chemicals, dyes, or perfumes. It is still powered by Noble Ion Technology for odor elimination and clumps quickly to ensure that benefit. This formula is very low dust which is a bonus, though some customer reviews comment that it tracks a fair bit. It offers similar clumping action to the other two formulas, with some clumps remaining somewhat soft and breaking apart during scooping.

In terms of odor control, it is important to remember that this is a single-cat formula. It controls feces odor fairly well when it is covered, but urine odor tends to combine in an unpleasant way with the wheat materials. Frequent scooping can help control these odors but, generally speaking, this formula is not as effective as some natural litters we’ve tried in terms of long-lasting odor control.

It is designed for multiple cat households, relying on Noble Ion Technology to deliver long-lasting odor control. It also has 3 times the clumping power of the other two formulas.

In testing this formula, we found that the clumping power was a bit stronger than the previous recipes, though some clumps still fell apart in scooping. We also found some litter sticking to the pan when we emptied it.

In terms of mess, the litter is otherwise very good. It is very low dust when pouring and scooping the litter, though there is some tracking because the granules are very lightweight. Overall, it is a decent litter but doesn’t seem to be significantly better than the other two formulas.

Overall, Is sWheat Scoop Cat Litter a Good Choice?

We can’t say that sWheat Scoop performs as well as some of the natural cat litters we’ve tried, but it does offer some unique benefits that make it worth trying. The fact that it is flushable and biodegradable is a major bonus, and it is also very lightweight and, generally speaking, very affordable. It could be better for odor control, but with frequent scooping, it does just fine.

One thing to be mindful of with this brand is that while some of the recipes are marketed for multiple cat homes, the odor-fighting power may be reduced if you have more than one cat using the litter box. At the very least, you’ll need to scoop the box more frequently to keep the litter fresh. Make sure to provide one litter box per cat with at least one extra.

All three of sWheat Scoop’s formulas are biodegradable and flushable. This makes your job of cleaning the litter box much easier – you should also be able to use a standard litter scoop with this litter. Many cat owners like to keep their litter box in the bathroom so they can quickly and easily scoop directly from the box into the toilet for disposal.
